Description
1. Purpose of development
In the process of pile foundation inspection, in addition to the conventional underground pile foundation, sometimes it is necessary to detect the length and integrity of the foundation pile in the deep foundation, the foundation pile under abutment and pier, and the foundation pile under the existing building. At present, for the equipment widely used in pile foundation detection, the low strain reflection wave method is mainly used. However, this method cannot be used when the top of the foundation cannot be entered, the pile is too long or too thin (that is, the ratio of length to diameter of the pile is too large), and there are foundation piles and pile footing with serious defects in the lower part of the pile body. In order to make technological breakthroughs and solve such problems, the R&D team finally decided to use the parallel seismic text detection technology. For the pile, the elastic wave path of the pile body transmitted to the side hole is short, the interference is small, and the pile body quality and the position of the pile bottom can be reflected. Such advantages allow the quality of the pile foundation to be evaluated more comprehensively and reliably than the commonly used reflection wave method.

2. Advantages of PST (A)
1. Relying on proprietary instantaneous floating point + full-range floating-point amplification technology; featuring high signal-to-noise ratio circuit design; capable of acquisition of undistorted strong and weak signals;
2. On-site analysis and judgment of length of foundation pile, average wave velocity of the pile body, and wave speed of the pile bottom bearing layer; adoption of embedded system; quick startup & shutdown; anti-virus intrusion;
3. Removable lithium battery; supporting desktop charger; able to be equipped with backup batteries to ensure uninterrupted work in the field;
4. Equipped with a bypass hole test probe; good adherent effects; high signal quality.

3. Reasons for selection of PST (A)
Parallel seismic text can be used not only for the detection of engineering piles under construction, but also for the detection of foundation piles in deep foundation, the foundation piles under abutment and pier, the foundation piles under the existing buildings, which make up for the defects of the traditional low strain reflection wave method and is more widely used than it. The PST (A) Parallel Seismic Tester can not only be used to detect defects of pile body, but also detect the pile length, the average wave speed of the pile body and the wave speed of the pile bottom bearing layer, and evaluate whether the pile integrity meets the design requirements.
For the inspectors, RSM-PST(A) can not only detect common underground piles, but also detect piles under existing buildings. The detection range is wider, the test data is more comprehensive, and the test results are more reliable. The PST (A) Parallel Seismic Tester has been put into the market and has been widely used in pile foundation detection in many industries such as roads, railways and bridge construction.

Engineering pile information: The diameter of pile is 1.2m, 4 sound tubes are embedded, and the length of pile is unknown.
Drilling information: PVC pipe is used for support, the diameter of hole is 70mm, and the hole distance of pile is 1m.
Test equipment: RSM-PST (A) Parallel Seismic Tester, and bypass hole test sensor

Detection steps:
1. Connect the sensor to the instrument and equipment, and slowly place the bypass hole test sensor to the bottom of the PVC pipe support drill hole, and install the trigger speed sensor on the top surface of the pile.
2. According to the pile and hole information, set the relevant parameters on the instrument.

                                                                                                      Parameter Settings

3. Hammer the top surface of the pile, receive the signal through the trigger sensor and the Parallel Seismic test sensor and display the corresponding depth measurement point signal on the instrument. According to the basis of the measuring point, test the signals of each depth measuring point one by one from the bottom of the hole to the direction of the orifice.

4. After signal acquisition is completed, such information as pile length, pile body wave speed and pile bottom bearing layer wave speed can be obtained on site through trend judgment.
