Model: RSM-PRT(M)

 

RSM-PRT (M) low strain pile tester is a new pile body integrity testing product developed by Wuhan Sinorock Technology Co, Ltd. (Sinorock) in accordance with a number of new-version pile detection codes and regulations.

 

RSM-PRT (M) has two signal acquisition channels and it can support two acceleration sensors to collect signals simultaneously. When a single top-mounted acceleration sensor is connected, the conventional single-speed testing can be completed; when two side-mounted acceleration sensors are connected, the dual-speed testing can be realized. When the top-mounted acceleration sensor is connected and the hammer acceleration force measurement is carried out, the transient frequency response testing can be achieved.

Principle

The test is based on wave propagation theory. The name "low strain pile integrity test" stems from the fact that when a light impact is applied to a pile it produces a low strain.

 

The impact generates a stress wave that travels down the pile. When the downward stress wave encounters a change in cross section or in concrete quality, it generates reflected wave that is later observed at the pile top. By analyzing the propagation time,amplitude and phase of that reflected wave, it has evaluation of pile integrity ultimately.
