The static load test method is recognized as the most direct and reliable test method for testing the bearing capacity of foundation piles and foundations. It refers to the stepwise or cyclic application of vertical pressure, vertical pull force or horizontal thrust on the pile foundation or the foundation, observing the pile foundation or the foundation top's sedimentation, uplift displacement or horizontal displacement over time to determine the corresponding vertical compressive bearing capacity, vertical uplift bearing capacity, and horizontal bearing capacity of the corresponding pile or foundation.
Purpose of Static Load Test
Static load of test pile -to provide a basis for determining the design value of bearing capacity.
The rock soil resistance loaded to the pile side and pile end reaches the limit value; when the bearing capacity of the pile is controlled by the strength of the pile body, the load can be applied according to the design requirements.
Static load of engineering piles -to check whether the bearing capacity of engineering piles meets the design requirements.
The method of field test is used to detect the maximum load corresponding to the engineering pile before reaching the failure state under the estimated (design) load or when there is a deformation unsuitable for continued bearing.
